Packaging Inspiration 2022

I remember when I first arrived in the United States. I did not know any of the brands here. I always picked the items with the most standing out packaging. Heck, I still do it if it's a new category or I'm looking for something new. I'm sure that I'm not alone in this. According to statistics for 84% of consumers, color is the main reason for buying a product.

Crazy, isn't it? And that is only color. Besides color, you also have almost infinite options of materials, paper textures, special print treatments available to you that can also help create a statement about your products and brand.

If you haven't done it for a while, maybe it's time to update your packaging. To give you inspiration, here are some of my favorite packaging designs from other creatives.

Packaging Inspiration 2022

This packaging is a perfect example of creating depth in two dimensions. The intricate cut pattern allows the gold foil-wrapped chocolate bar to peek through the box to express elegance, quality, and richness reminds us of the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where kids found the golden ticket inside the chocolate wrapper.

Simplicity is key in design, and sometimes, all you need is a unique product design. This solid shampoo bar shape is one of a kind. It stands out so much in the solid shampoo market that the shape is depicted on the paper packaging itself, creating a memorable brand.

By associating with whales, the brand shows the gentle care moms can give to their babies when using Love Ocean's products. This packaging cleverly incorporates a whale's tail as a bottle cap to create instant brand recognition.

Croon is an excellent example of expressing sustainable brand values with packaging. The white raw texture of the packaging evokes feelings of clean and eco-friendly while the brand colors assist buyers in navigation amongst product ranges.

Authenticity comes from within. When you work in a saturated market such as tea, your origin story can come in handy in your branding. Tea plantations in China are the source of inspiration for this packaging design. The unique shape varies with the terrain and resembles the patterns on the hands of tea pickers.
